No sign or other on-lot advertising device shall be permitted except that the following signs are permitted on a lot, subject to the conditions specified here and in § 905:
A. Any sign smaller than 2 sq. ft. See § 905.J.3.
B. Any temporary sign. See § 905.J.4.
C. A free-standing sign for a permitted non-residential building or use. The area of such a sign shall not exceed 12 sq. ft.
D. A wall or projecting sign for a permitted non-residential building or use. The area of such a sign shall not exceed 10 sq. ft.
