§ 134.17 PAYMENT FOR MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF VICTIMS OF SEX OFFENSES.
   (A)   The Clerk is authorized to pay to a private hospital or other emergency medical facility any costs incurred by the private facility in conducting a medical examination of a victim of an offense under R.C. §§ 2907.02 to 2907.06, or 2907.12, or §§ 134.02 or 134.03, which medical examination was conducted for the purpose of gathering physical evidence for a possible prosecution. This payment shall be made only if the alleged offense was committed in the city. The Chief of Police shall notify the Clerk of any such alleged violations which may have occurred in the city.
   (B)   The clerk is authorized to pay to any hospital or other emergency medical facility owned and operated by the city any costs incurred by such a facility in conducting a medical examination of a victim of an offense under R.C. §§ 2907.02 to 2907.06, or 2907.12, or §§ 134.02 or 134.03 for the purpose of gathering physical evidence for a possible prosecution. Payment to such facility is authorized whether such alleged offense was committed within or without the city.
