§ 74.07 (4511.521(D) MOTOR ASSISTED BICYCLES; OPERATION AND SAFE RIDING REGULATIONS.
   (A)   No person operating a motor assisted bicycle shall carry another person upon the motor assisted bicycle. (R.C. § 4511.521(D))
   (B)   No person shall operate a motor assisted bicycle other than while facing forward with one leg on each side of the motor assisted bicycle.
   (C)   No person shall operate a motor assisted bicycle in or upon any portion of any public park in the city except upon roadways or parking lots. This division does not apply to emergency vehicles.
   (D)   No person shall operate a motor assisted bicycle upon a sidewalk.
   (E)   Every person operating a motor assisted bicycle shall ride within three feet of the right edge of the roadway when practicable, obeying all traffic rules applicable to vehicles, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
   (F)   Every person operating a motor assisted bicycle shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian and shall give an audible signal before attempting to pass a pedestrian, bicycle or motor assisted bicycle. This audible signal must be given only by a bell or other warning device and shall be given at such distance and in such a manner as not to startle the person being overtaken and passed.
   (G)   The operator of a motor assisted bicycle shall give hand signals before turning, changing lanes or stopping. Such signal shall conform with § 72.14.
   (H)   Every rider of a motor assisted bicycle shall exercise due care to avoid colliding with any pedestrian or any vehicle upon any roadway, sidewalk or bicycle path, or endangering the life, limb, or property of any person while in the lawful use of such streets, sidewalks, or any other private or public property.
   (I)   No person shall operate a motor assisted bicycle at a speed greater than is reasonable and proper under the conditions then existing.
   (J)   When the operator of a motor assisted bicycle emerges from or turns into an alley, driveway, or building, upon approaching a sidewalk with the sidewalk area extending across any alley, driveway, or building, such person shall yield the right-of-way to all pedestrians approaching on such sidewalk area. Upon entering the street, such operator shall give the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching on such street.
   (K)   No person shall engage in trick riding or operate a motor assisted bicycle while carrying any package, bundle, or article that prevents the operator from keeping at least one hand upon the handle grips.
