§ 155.096 ELECTRICAL FACILITIES REQUIRED.
   (A)   Every occupied building shall be provided with approved electrical service, outlets and fixtures, which shall be installed and maintained in an approved manner so as to be free from any potential source or electrical hazard. Such facilities shall be capable of supplying the requirements of lighting, appliances and equipment of the structure concerned.
   (B)   Any change in the electrical system of a building shall require that a permit be obtained from the appropriate agency pursuant to the provisions of the Electrical Code.
   (C)   Every electric wire shall be covered with insulation which is in sound condition.
   (D)   Every electric switch and convenience outlet shall be properly connected, secured in position, provided with cover plates, and maintained in good working condition.
   (E)   Every electric wall and ceiling fixture shall be properly installed, secured in position, and maintained in good working condition. Existing pull chain ceiling light fixtures shall be acceptable if in good working condition.
   (F)   "Temporary wiring" means wiring used during construction. No temporary wiring shall be permitted except that not more than one extension cord may be used when connected directly to the service cord of the electrical appliance being served and an approved electric convenience outlet. Temporary wiring or extension cords shall not be used as permanent electrical wiring.
