(A) The Building Official or his authorized agent may issue a stop work order whenever he finds:
(1) Work requiring a permit being performed without such permit having been issued; or
(2) Work being performed which does not comply with the approved plans or applicable codes.
(B) The stop work order may be served on the person, firm, or corporation performing the work or the owner. Failure to comply with a stop work order shall be deemed a violation and shall be subject to penalties provided in § 152.99.
