860.05 PEDDLERS FROM OTHER VEHICLES.
   (a)    Every peddler selling ice cream, fruits, vegetables or any other food or merchandise from vehicles drawn by means other than hand shall obtain a license before engaging in business and shall pay a fee therefor as set forth in Appendix A of Chapter 1464 of the Building and Housing Code of the Codified Ordinances per year for each vehicle used for such purpose.

   (b)    In addition to the requirements of subsection (a) hereof, each such peddler shall furnish a policy or policies of disability insurance issued for the life of the license applied for or longer, by a responsible insurance company, approved as to sufficiency by the Director of Finance and as to legality by the Law Director, providing indemnity for or protection to the applicant against loss resulting from the operation of such vehicle to the extent of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) on account of injury to or the death of one person in any one accident; three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) on account of injury to or death of more than one person in any one accident; and fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for property damage caused in any one accident.
