A. Unlawful Act: Air guns or air rifles or BB guns of any kind are hereby declared to be dangerous weapons, and it shall be unlawful for any person to use such weapons in the City.
B. Penalty: Any person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished in accordance with section 1-4-1 of this Code. If the offender is a juvenile, such offender shall be dealt with as the law may provide, and a parent or guardian allowing any juvenile child in his or her care to violate this section shall be held responsible and be subject to penalty. 1. At the discretion of the charging officer, a civil citation may be issued which is punishable by a civil penalty in an amount established by resolution of the City Council. (Ord. 580, 3-13-2018)
