§ 50.26 COLLECTION OF TREE TRIMMINGS, GRASS AND THE LIKE.
Tree trunks, tree stumps, tree trimmings, hedge cuttings, heavy grass, hay or other similar materials that are within a reasonable length to be placed inside the dumpbed of a truck, where the weight of the individual articles can easily be handled by one individual, will be collected when the Sanitation Department has the time available. None of the above material will be removed unless it is placed on the side of the street or on the yard side of the sidewalk, and no material exceeding seven inches in diameter and ten feet in length will be removed by the town. Grass and hedge clippings, leaves and other fine natural matter shall be placed in bags for collection, except during the designated season as described in § 50.28 of this chapter. Within their regular sanitation collection fee, property owners and/or residents shall be entitled to collection of a maximum of one cumulative truckload of waste material per week. Any volume of material above and beyond this maximum amount at curbside will be subject to a removal fee as established in the town’s annual fee schedule.
