§ 36.08 EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT OF PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX.
   (A)   All persons filing an application for a registration of a motor vehicle, motorcycle, truck, trailer, semitrailer, tractor, farm tractor used in transportation, bus, school bus, house, car, or special farm machinery, and mobile homes with any auto license branch in the county shall, at the time of registration, submit a valid receipt from the County Treasurer showing that all personal property taxes have been paid in full, or if not subject to tax, evidence of such fact of the type now, or formerly required, under the laws of the state.
   (B)   Said license branch office shall enter, on the face of the registration form, the number of the receipted tax duplicate and the county from which issued, or in the event that certification is received from the County Treasurer that the owner owes no taxes, or from the County Assessor that the owner is not subject to assessment, the licenses branch shall number each certificate receipt and scribe the number of each certificate on the registration form.
