The fee for each building permit issued on or after the effective date of this section, as amended, shall be calculated in accordance with the following:
(a) Five dollars ($5.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of value in improvements up to $100,000 in value.
(b) Four dollars ($4.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of value in improvements from $100,001 to $500,000.
(c) Two dollars ($2.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of value in improvements from $500,001 and above in value.
(d) Improvements of a value less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be exempt.
(e) In the event that the Code Official shall deem it necessary to employ the services of the Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) for plan review, then in that event the permit applicant shall be required to pay the actual cost thereof in addition to the permit fee as herein prescribed.
(f) There shall be a twenty dollar ($20.00) minimum permit fee for the issuance of a permit.
