Any weeds such as ragweed, thistle, cockleburr, Johnson grass, sow thistle, sorghum almun or other noxious weeds of a like kind or variety, or so designated by the state's Noxious Weed Law, 505 ILCS 100/1 et seq. are hereby declared to be a nuisance and it shall be unlawful to permit the weeds to grow or remain on any premises within the corporate limits of the city.
