(A) Upon issuance of a license as herein above set forth in this chapter, the City Clerk shall issue to the animal owner a metallic or durable plastic tag, stamped with an identifying number and with the year of issuance. Such tag shall be designed that it may be conveniently fastened to a collar or harness. The license tag shall be fastened to the collar or harness by the animal owner and shall be worn at all times by the animal.
(B) The City Clerk shall maintain a record of identify numbers and issued license tags as public record.
