§ 90.07 NOTIFICATION OF IMPOUNDED VEHICLE.
   Based on the information determined from the record searches as provided in § 90.05 of this chapter, the Chief of Police or any member of the Police Department designated by him or her shall send a notification by certified mail to the registered owner, lienholder or other legally entitled person advising where the vehicle is held, requesting a disposition to be made and setting forth public sale information. Notification shall be sent no later than ten days after the date of impoundment; provided that, if the Police Department is unable to determine the identity of the registered owner, lienholder or other person legally entitled to ownership of the vehicle within the ten-day period after impoundment, then notification shall be sent no later than two days after the date of the identity of the registered owner, lienholder or other person legally entitled to ownership of the impounded vehicle is determined.
