§ 151.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DWELLING.  Any house or building or portion thereof, whether portable or on a fixed foundation, which is occupied in whole or in part as a home, residence, sleeping place, or place of abode by one or more human beings, either permanently or transiently.
   DWELLING UNIT.  A room or group of rooms occupied by or intended for occupancy by one family or household as their home and where they sleep.
   HABITABLE ROOM.  A room which is designed or may be used for living, sleeping, eating, or cooking. Storage rooms, bathrooms, toilets, closets, halls, or spaces in attics or basements, or any rooms having a floor space of less than 50 square feet are not HABITABLE ROOMS, except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter.
   OCCUPANT.  Any person actually occupying, inhabiting, living in, or in possession of any dwelling or dwelling unit or any part thereof.
   OWNER.  Any person, corporation, copartnership, association, or other entity having or claiming any title, interest, or right, either of record, or in privity of others who are so shown by record, in any property, including executors, administrators, trustees, guardians, and agents.
