For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DESIGNATED ROADWAYS. Public roads and highways within the jurisdiction of the town.
GOLF CART. Any motorized vehicle designed for operation on golf courses, principally to carry golfers and golfing equipment.
MUNICIPAL LICENSE. A license issued by the town under this chapter.
OFF-ROAD VEHICLE or ORV. A motor vehicle capable of cross-country travel without benefit of a road on natural terrain as described in I.C.14-8-2-185, but does not include an all-terrain vehicle as described in I.C. 14-8-2-5.7.
OPERATOR. Every person who operates or is, or reasonably should be, in actual physical control of the operation of a regulated vehicle.
OWNER. Every person holding record of title to a regulated vehicle and entitled to the use or possession thereof, other than a lien-holder or other person having a security interest only.
PERSON. An individual, partnership, association, corporation, and any other body or group of persons, whether incorporated or not, and regardless of the degree of formal organization.
REGULATED VEHICLE. A golf cart and/or an off-road vehicle.
SLOW-MOVING VEHICLE. Any vehicle which is ordinarily moved, operated, or driven at a speed less than 25 miles per hour.
