(A) Any residential building may have the interior supply plumbing so configured that the supply line to the exterior hose bibs is separated from all other water supply lines and provision made for the installation of a secondary meter measuring the amount of water flowing to the outside of the house.
(B) At the request of a property owner with such a configuration, the town shall provide a secondary meter at the actual cost of materials and labor to inspect the installation. The installation shall be performed or arranged by the homeowner at homeowner’s expense. The secondary meter shall be read quarterly, and a credit shall be given on the sewer charge for that quarter for the amount of water which has passed to the outside of the house.
(C) No credit shall be allowed hereunder in the event that the water flowing through said secondary meter ultimately is disposed of in the town sanitary sewer system.
