§ 93.06 LEAF BURNING; BONFIRES.
   (A)   Leaf burning shall be allowed within the corporate limits of the village only during the months of September through April, during the hours between 8:00 a.m. and dark.
   (B)   Bonfires shall be prohibited within the corporate limits of the village, except on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, during the hours between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
   (C)   No leaf burning fire or bonfire shall be left unattended and must be extinguished when left unattended.
   (D)   No burning shall be maintained on or in any street, alley, road, public land or grounds, and on private lots only as provided in divisions (A) through (C) above. This section shall not apply to the use of fire for preparing food on a barbecue grill or the use of an open fire on private property or other locations approved by the village for cooking fires, provided the fire may only utilize wood or charcoal, and be of a size so as not to endanger property or create smoke, noxious fumes or gases annoying others in the immediate area.
   (E)   Leaf burning and bonfires during winds in excess of eight miles per hour, or during other times of high fire danger, shall not be permitted.
   (F)   No burning of trash or brush or anything other than leaves, or bonfires or cooking fires, as stated above, shall be permitted.
   (G)   This section shall take effect immediately upon passage.
