Upon payment by applicant of the license fee hereafter set forth to the Village Treasurer, the Village Clerk shall issue or cause to be issued a license duly signed by the Village Clerk authorizing the operation of the automobile, truck or motorcycle, over, upon and along the streets, avenues, alleys and public places within the village until the expiration of the license.
