§ 72.08 PARKING DURING SNOW EMERGENCY.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle of any kind on any street or public right-of-way of this village, for a period of 24 hours following the accumulation of two or more inches of falling snow as this provision is deemed necessary by said corporate authorities to prohibit such parking during snow removal operation by this village. This provision does not apply to any vehicle of the Kane County Sheriff, any municipal police department, any fire protection district, any ambulance, or any municipal fire department parked on Spring Street between Water and La Fox Streets or on Water Street north of Spring Street.
   (B)   Any vehicle parked in violation of this section is declared a nuisance and a hazard to public safety, and any police officer of this village is authorized to cause the removal of such vehicle to a public garage or other place of storage at the expense of the owner and/or possessor of said vehicle.
   (C)   Signs consistent with this section giving reasonable notice of the provisions of this section, shall be posted at all public entrances to this village, which signs shall say in substance: “No street parking for 24 hours after 2-inch snowfall; violators will be towed,” or similar language.
