§ 90.04 VICIOUS AND DANGEROUS DOGS.
   Whenever a law enforcement officer believes that a dog is "dangerous" or "vicious," the law enforcement officer, in addition to all other actions authorized hereunder, shall give notice of the determination and the infraction or infractions that is/are the basis of the investigation to the owner, conduct a thorough investigation, interview any witnesses, including the owner, gather any existing medical records, veterinary medical records or behavioral evidence, and make a detailed report recommending a finding that the dog is a vicious dog and give the report to the local Administrator, to the State's Attorney's Office, and to the owner, for resolution by the Administrator and/or State's Attorney's Office in accordance with the Illinois Animal Control Act.
