Every person convicted of a violation of this article for which another penalty is not provided shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00); for a second conviction within one year thereafter be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00); and upon a third or subsequent conviction such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
