A healthy work environment and atmosphere helps employee productivity and reduces nonwork problems. The City shall assure that:
(a) Physical facilities, job placement and work are not assigned on a discriminatory or segregated basis;
(b) Work assignments are meaningful, contribute to attainment of the organization's goals and offer career advancement;
(c) Employees with appropriate abilities are designated as personal counselors to help new employees adjust to the work environment;
(d) Employee social, professional and athletic groups within the agency are stimulated to accept minority group members;
(e) Credit unions or other assistance are available to help meet financial needs;
(f) Maternity leave, in conjunction with accrued sick leave, is available so women are guaranteed the right to return to their jobs; and
(g) Meal facilities and health unit are available where needed.
