Whenever a full-time City employee shall suffer a death in his immediate family, that City employee shall be entitled to three days of paid leave from work for travel to and from and attendance at the funeral. The Mayor shall have the authority, in his discretion, to allow the employee an additional two days of paid leave. The immediate family shall include only the father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents and stepchildren.
