Repairs or alterations of electrical installations of all buildings, both public and private, shall not be made without the filing of drawings and descriptions in the Department of Buildings and approval of such Department. Notice of such repairs or alterations shall be given to the Department before the work is commenced in such cases as shall be prescribed by the rules and regulations of the Department.
