1309.02 VIOLATIONS; PENALTY.
   If any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained or any building, structure or land is used in violation of West Virginia Code Article 8-24 or of the provisions of this ordinance, the City Attorney, in addition to other remedies, shall institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance or use; to restrain, correct or abate such violations; to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure or land; or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about such premises.
   The Building Inspector shall immediately report all violations of this ordinance which come to his attention to the City Attorney.
   Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned for a period not exceeding thirty days, or be both so fined and imprisoned for each offense. Each day's continuance of a violation shall be considered a separate offense.
