955.01 DEFINITIONS.
   Unless otherwise expressly stated or the context clearly indicates a different intention, the following terms, for the purpose of this article, are defined as follows:
   (a)   "Prepared garbage" means waste material from kitchens, dining rooms and similar places, from which liquids have been drained.
   (b)   "Private scavenger" means a person who, for hire, collects, removes or disposes of refuse.
   (c)   "Raw garbage" means swill not prepared as provided in subsection (a) hereof.
   (d)   "Refuse" means all sweeping, cleaning, trash, rubbish, litter, garbage, industrial or domestic wastes, organic wastes or residue of animals sold as meat; fruit or other vegetable matter from kitchens, dining rooms, markets or places dealing in or handling meats, fowl, fruits, grain or vegetables; offal, animal excreta, the carcasses of animals; tree or shrub trimmings, dirt, wood, stone, brick, plaster or materials resulting from the demolition, alteration or construction of buildings or structures; or accumulated waste materials or substances which may become nuisances.
   (e)   "Refuse collection" means the gathering of refuse containers and their contents from the premises of improved property and loading the contents into removal vehicles, and returning the containers to the place where found after the contents have been emptied.
   (f)   "Refuse disposal" means the disposition of refuse in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Chief of Public Works.
   (g)   "Refuse removal" means the hauling and transporting of refuse from the point of collection to the point of disposal.
   (h)   "Trash" means waste material containing no putrid matter or organic wastes. (1970 Code Sec. 25-3)
