§ 16-2-7 ATTENDANCE.
   Any member who is unable to attend at least 70% of the regular meetings of the Commission during a calendar year, or three consecutive regular meetings without good cause or notified absences, may be considered as not fulfilling the obligation assumed by acceptance of appointment to the Commission. The Commission shall, for any of the above stated reasons, recommend to the Council that the member be removed and that the alternate member be appointed as successor. Should the Commission recommend to the Council that the alternate member be removed for any of the above stated reasons, the Commission shall request that the Mayor and Council appoint a new alternate member. Under no circumstances shall the Commission request the appointment of any particular person (by name) as a regular or alternate member.
