§ 8-3-8 BUSINESS LICENSE TYPES.
   All businesses, occupations, professions, trades, or callings shall pay a license tax annually (nonrefundable), which shall be set by the City Council by separate resolution. The asterisk (*) indicates those licenses that also must have a general business license issued for the business to operate. General business licenses must be issued or approved prior to the issuance or approval/recommendation is given for other licenses.
   A.   Circuses, carnivals, theatrical or other similar exhibitions, and amusements shall pay a business license fee on a per day basis.*
   B.   Each stand, concession, or game located in a circus, carnival, theatrical or other exhibition, and amusement shall pay a business license fee on a per quarter basis.
   C.   Fortune tellers, clairvoyants, astrologers, palmists, and similar undertakings shall pay a business license fee on a per month basis.*
   D.   Hawkers and peddlers shall pay a business license fee on a per quarter basis.*
   E.   Itinerant photographers shall pay a license tax on a per quarter basis.*
   F.   Cottage enterprise license shall pay a license fee on a annual basis.
   G.   Special events merchandising license shall pay a license fee on a per event basis.
   H.   Day care facilities for adults and children as businesses required to have business licenses, and to allow a credit to day care providers who are able to document that they have paid a fee for fire, health and/or building inspections over the previous 12-month period. The amount of the credit would not exceed the cost of an annual business license.
