It shall be unlawful, and punishable as herein provided, for any person, firm, corporation, partnership, or other entity to build or alter any structure within the township without first obtaining a permit allowing such construction or alteration. No permit shall be required where the cost and/or reasonable addition in value to such structure shall not exceed $1,000.
