§ 153.065  GENERAL SIGN REGULATIONS.
   (A)   No sign shall be erected at any location where by reason of the position, size, shape, color, movement, or illustration may interfere with or obstruct the view of traffic, nor shall any sign be confused with any authorized traffic sign, signal, or device.
   (B)   This subchapter applies only to exterior signage.
   (C)   In the Agricultural District, all residential districts, and the Local Commercial District, signs may be illuminated only by non-flashing, reflective light. Any light used to illuminate such signs shall so be arranged as to reflect light away from adjoining premises and streets.
   (D)   In the General Commercial, Highway Service Commercial, and Light Industrial District, all signs may be illuminated internally or by reflected light, provided the source of light is not directly visible and is so arranged to reflect away from the adjoining premises and street. No illumination involving movement by reason of the lighting arrangement or other devices shall be permitted.
   (E)   All signs shall be placed behind the right-of-way line. Before placement of any sign (except as excluded in §§ 153.066, 153.067, 153.069, 153.070, or 153.114), a zoning compliance permit must be obtained. The fee for such permit will be set by the Township Board.
   (F)   Unless excluded in §§ 153.066, 153.067, 153.069, or 153.070, all signs are regulated by this subchapter.
