Each applicant for a certificate of registration shall furnish a contractor registration bond in the amount of $25,000 guaranteeing material and workmanship in conformity with this Building Code and other laws of the city and shall be for the benefit of any party damaged by the principal’s failure to comply with duties, terms, conditions, provisions and requirements of the ordinances of the city applying to such work and the lawful orders of the city issued under such ordinances.
