The purpose of a mapped street plat, as defined in § 1220.08(b), is to designate and describe the exact right-of-way lines of mapped streets, the land vital for future street purposes. It is intended that land so designated can be reserved and acquired before the surrounding area is developed, thus assuring land in the proper locations for future streets to fully serve the area and community.
