A. Appointment Of Officers: The chief of police shall be appointed by the town manager and shall serve at the pleasure of the town manager. (Ord. 05-252, 8-23-2005)
B. Departmental Rules And Regulations: The police department shall be operated and managed in accordance with such departmental rules and regulations as may from time to time be adopted by the town council. (1986 Code § 4-1-4)
C. Compensation: The chief of police and the police officers shall be compensated as determined by the town council. The chief of police shall not receive any perquisites, commissions or compensation for his services as chief of police or town marshal, except as the town council may prescribe. (1986 Code § 4-1-3)
