The policies of insurance shall contain an additional insured clause providing that city, the city council, each member thereof, all officers, agents, employees and members of boards and commissions of the city shall be named as an additional insured under the policy. Each policy required above shall provide that it is to be considered primary insurance in the event a demand is made on the city. Each policy required above shall contain a provision by the insurer to perform the covenant for defense set forth herein. This provision shall not apply to workers’ compensation insurance.
