§ 32.81  PURPOSE OF PARKS, ART, CULTURE, AND TREE COMMITTEE.
   The primary purposes and objectives of the Parks, Art, Culture, and Tree Committee shall include the following:
   (A)   Advise Council on cultural activities and special events, including but not limited to concerts, the Taste of Silverton, speaker series, inclusion, and other related matters and programs.
   (B)   Advise Council on the art in public places program established by Resolution 16-744, and any other subsequent legislation relating to public art adopted by Council.
   (C)   Advise Council on the capital and facility needs of Silverton's parks and green space in the event that Silverton does not have an appointed Park Board. Should Council appoint members to the Park Board in the future, then the Parks, Art, Culture, and Tree Committee shall not advise Council on these matters.
   (D)   Advise Council on the duties of the Urban Forestry Board pursuant to § 32.75 and tree maintenance issues pursuant to Chapter 52 of the Code of Ordinances in the event that Silverton does not have an appointed Urban Forestry Board. Should Council appoint members to the Urban Forestry Board in the future, then the Parks, Art, Culture, and Tree Committee shall not advise Council on these matters.
   (E)   The Parks, Art, Culture, and Tree Committee, when requested by Council, shall consider, investigate, make findings, report and recommend upon any special matter or question referred to it by motion or other action of Council.
