The Planning Commission shall consist of five (5) electors of the Village not holding other municipal office; at least one member shall be from each district and all shall serve without compensation. The five electors, at least one from each district, shall be appointed by the Mayor with confirmation by Council.
The term of the members of the present Planning Commission shall terminate as follows: Two on the 31st day of December, 1978 and two on the 31st day of December, 1980 and the terms of the members appointed thereafter shall be two years.
The term of the additional members of the Planning Commission provided for, which provision is herein made, shall be two years and shall commence on January 1, 1979.
A vacancy occurring during the term of any incumbent of the Planning Commission shall be filled for the unexpired term in the manner authorized by an original appointment.
