The purpose and intent of this chapter is to:
A. Establish Zoning Districts: Establish zoning districts and zoning overlay districts that provide appropriately located areas for residential, nonresidential and public uses consistent with the Sidney Growth Policy.
B. Zoning Map: Establish the Official Zoning Map of the City of Sidney.
C. Public Health, Safety: Protect and enhance the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the citizens of Sidney.
D. Compatibility: Promote compatibility among the various land uses and incorporate the Future Land Use Map as identified in the Sidney Growth Policy. (Ord. 567, 3-20-2017)
