9-1-20: LIABILITY OF ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNER AND TENANT:
The abutting property owner and tenant shall assume any legal liability incurred as a result of a pedestrian or passerby sustaining an accident or injury on the sidewalk in front of and adjoining such abutting property owner's property, caused in whole or in part by the failure of the abutting property owner or tenant to comply with the provisions of this chapter, which have been enacted for the safety of pedestrians and passersby.
