No alterations or additions shall be made in the existing wiring of any building, nor shall any building be wired for the placing of any electric lights, motors, heating devices or any apparatus requiring the use of electrical current, nor shall any alterations be made in the wiring in any building after inspection, without first notifying the electrical inspector and securing a permit therefor.
