§ 93.08 ANIMALS IN VILLAGE GENERALLY.
   (A)   Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall keep within the village, any cattle, cows, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea, horses, sheep, swine or other livestock.
   (B)   This section shall not apply to areas of the village that are zoned non-urban and country estates as permitted by the Development Code Chapter 151, nor shall this chapter apply to livestock brought into the village for the purpose of being shipped out of the village.
   (C)   The Mayor, or his or her designee, shall have the power to issue an order prohibiting the keeping of any animal, fowl or bird which is deemed to pose a health hazard to the general public.
   (D)   Except during an authorized public function, it is hereby declared to be unlawful for any person to allow any horse or pony to walk, graze, roam free or be ridden upon any public park, playground, cemetery or sidewalk; including all roadways, except rights-of-way; or upon private property without the owner’s consent in the appropriately zoned areas, in the village.
   (E)   It is the responsibility of the animal owner to maintain control of their animal at all times, whether on or off of the owner’s property.
