(A) Unless otherwise indicated or defined, words and terms used in respect to traffic regulations adopted by the Town Council shall be construed to have the same meanings as defined for them under the provisions of IC 9-13-2-1 et seq. ('85 Code, § 8-1-1) (Ord. 1985-C28, passed 9-16-85)
(B) For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BASE OF OPERATION of a truck or bus). The private, off-street facility or property where the vehicle is normally kept and maintained when not in use. ('85 Code, § 8-7-2) (Ord. 1985-C30, passed

BUS. A vehicle described by IC 9-13-2-17. The term does not include a private bus described by IC 9-13-2-133, nor a school bus owned and operated by a public or governmental agency, but does include a privately owned and operated school bus operated by a person for compensation. STOP. The cessation of movement of a vehicle before entering an intersection, giving ample right-of- way to other vehicles which have arrived at or are approaching the intersection or the intersecting thoroughfare. ('85 Code, § 8-4-1) (Ord. 1985-C31, passed 9-24-85)
TRAFFIC.
(1) Pedestrians, ridden animals and other conveyances either singly or together while using any street for the purpose of travel. ('85 Code, § 8-3-1) (Ord. 1965-1-A, passed 8-22-78; Am. Ord. 1985-C26, passed 9-16-85))
(2) Any and all vehicles operating on a public thoroughfare, including motor vehicles, motorized bicycles (mopeds), bicycles and animal-drawn vehicles. ('85 Code, § 8-4-1) (Ord. 1985-C31, passed 9-24-85)
TRUCK. A vehicle described by IC 9-13-2-188. The term includes any trailer, semitrailer or pole trailer designed, used or maintained primarily for the transportation of property; it does not include a fire truck or similar emergency vehicle. ('85 Code, § 8-7-2) (Ord. 1985-C30, passed 9-16-85)
VEHICLE. Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a street. ('85 Code, § 8-3-1) (Ord. 1965-1-A, passed 8-22-78; Am. Ord. 1985-C26, passed 9- 16-85)
YIELD. Stopping or slowing a vehicle before entering an intersection sufficiently to allow the driver to determine if other traffic is approaching an intersection on an intersecting thoroughfare and, if so, to give safe right-of-way to the other traffic.
