§ 51.38 TRACER WIRE.

Tracer wire shall be 12 gauge AWG copper wire. Splices and branch connections shall be made with 12 AWG splice kits suitable for underground installation. Remove ½ inch of insulation from wire. Connect wires using a split bolt connector or solder. Seal connection epoxy contained in splice kit and wrap with tape.
