(A) Private developers shall submit to the Sheridan Planning Commission a complete set of plans and specifications for a proposed subdivision or planned development. Plans and specifications shall be prepared by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Indiana. Developers shall also submit a copy of the construction permit for water mains issued by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), plus any state, county or local highway permits required.
(B) Plans shall show locations of all water mains, valves and hydrants, and shall identify these locations in public right-of-way or utility easements for the facilities. Minimum water main size shall be six inches in diameter. Hydrants shall be located at 500 feet on center, or as directed by the Sheridan Fire Department. Valves shall be located at 500 feet on center, or as directed by the Sheridan Water Works.
