(A) Pipe shall conform to ANSI/ASTM D 2241 and have SDR 21. Pipe materials shall conform to ASTM D 1784, Type 1, Grade 1, 2,000 psi design stress. Pipe joints shall be single-gasket bell and spigot type, the bells being formed integrally with the pipe.
(B) Fittings shall be mechanical joint iron or ductile iron conforming to ANSI A21.10/AWWA C 110 and ANSI A21.11/AWWA C 111. Restrained joints may be used instead of mechanical joints and thrust blocking and shall be Loc-Tyte, Loc-Fast or approved equal.
