Storm sewer systems are designed to collect and convey storm water runoff from street inlets, runoff control structures and other locations where the accumulation of storm water is undesirable. The objective is to remove runoff from an area fast enough to avoid unacceptable a mounts of ponding damage and inconvenience while preventing adverse off-site impacts.
