For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COLLECTOR. The City Clerk or his or her designated representative.
RESTAURANT. A facility, whether it is a fixed or mobile commercial establishment, which serves to the public food and beverages, including, but not limited to, grills, tearooms, sandwich shops, soda fountains, taverns, bars, cocktail lounges, nightclubs, roadside stands, delicatessens, catering kitchens, commissaries or similar places which require on-site preparation. Exempted from this subchapter are non-profit organizations, schools, food vending machines and establishments serving beverages only in single service or original containers.
