§ 61.037 PERMITS SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
   The City Clerk/Treasurer is authorized to grant permits for solicitation within the city, subject to the following restrictions and conditions:
   (A)   (1)   Each application for a solicitation permit shall meet the requirements of § 61.038;
      (2)   Permits shall only be issued to an organization that holds a tax-exempt status pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code;
      (3)   Only one organization will be granted a solicitation permit on any particular day. The purpose of this restriction is to reduce confusion among the public about which organization is soliciting on a particular day, and to reduce the potential of traffic or safety problems related to many solicitors in a single day; and
      (4)   All applications for solicitation permits shall be submitted to the City Clerk/Treasurer at least one week before the date for which a solicitation permit is sought.
   (B)   Any person who engages in solicitation without a permit, or who falsifies an application for a permit, shall be subject to the terms of § 61.999.
