§ 41.027 PROTECTION OF UTILITIES
   Exiting utility facilities shall not be interfered with without written consent of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the owner of the utility. No injury shall be done to any existing facilities in conducting ongoing facility work. A utility must utilize, with the owner’s permission, existing poles, conduits or such other facilities whenever possible. Notice shall be given to the utilities maintaining any facilities which are or may be endangered or affected by conducting facility work before the facilities shall be disturbed. All existing facilities which may in any way be affected by the facility work shall be supported and protected. In the event any facilities should be damaged, the owner thereof shall be properly notified. Copies of agreements for use of poles, conduits or other facilities must be filed with the Director of Public Works/City Engineer upon request.
