§ 119.20 TRANSFERS OF OWNERSHIP.
Upon the transfer of ownership of any taxicab, the Board of Public Works and Safety may, where the transferor requests, validate by appropriate endorsement thereon the license for the taxicab for use on another taxicab to be designated by the transferor.
   (A)   This provision shall likewise apply where the licensee shall produce satisfactory evidence that the taxicab, through destruction or otherwise, has ceased to be used as a taxicab.
   (B)   Upon the transfer of ownership of any taxicab where the transferee indicates that the vehicle is to continue in use as a taxicab, the Board of Public Works and Safety may, by appropriate endorsement thereon, validate the license in the hands of the transferee.
   (C)   Upon the death of any person holding a taxicab license under this chapter, and upon proof of the death, the Board of Public Works and Safety may, at the request of the deceased’s personal representative, validate by appropriate endorsement thereon the license in the hands of the person in whose name title to the taxicab has vested by reason of the death. In no case, however, shall any transfer be made, as herein provided, unless and until the transferee in all other respects complies with the terms and provisions of this chapter.
