A. Violation: Every person carrying on or engaging in the transaction of any business for which a license is required, without first procuring the proper license therefor, and any person making material misrepresentations or omissions in an application for a license shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided by section 1-4-1 of this code. Every day business is conducted by a person without a license shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 660, 2-4-1991)
B. Action To Enforce: The city council may direct to be brought or bring suit in the name of the city as plaintiff for the recovery of a license fee herein provided for against any person required to obtain a license and who fails, neglects or refuses to procure such license and pay the fee therefor or who attempts to carry on any business without such license.
